Soulchoonz can provide you with high quality DJs for your soul music events. With an increasing number of experienced DJs on our roster, we are sure to find you the right DJ that meets your expectations on music policy and taste. Our DJs can cover the following genres: Upfront Soul, Soulful RnB, 80s Soul, 70s Soul, Northern Soul, Jazz-Funk, Soulful House, and Smooth Jazz.
Although we can give advice on audio equipment, Soulchoonz expects the client to source its own DJ equipment for the venue. Fees vary from £50 to £250 per hour excluding travel expenses.
Currently this service is only available in the United Kingdom and Western Europe. Should you have requirements elsewhere, please reach out as we may be able to combine it with our Soulchoonz Live activities.

The events that John has appeared at as a DJ are too numerous to mention. He is one of the resident DJs at the Hilton Luxury Soul weekenders, Village Soul Italia & the Bridlington Weekender. He is also a featured guest on the Steve White soul show on BBC Sheffield/Leeds. John also has a monthly column in Manifesto Magazine where he reports on events he has visited and/or appeared at. Daz has been a fan of soul music since his early teens. He has played at numerous venues including Squires/Quinceys, Halfway House and The Ritz. Daz started his radio career on Soul Nation, a Manchester pirate station in the nineties, has had a show on SolarRadio and can now be found on Radio Preston and Preston FM with his 'Soul Show'. His favourite music are mid-tempo grooves from the 70s, 80s and 90s from major label artists such as Stephanie Mills, Luther Vandross, Will Downing, Glen Jones and the Jones Girls. Daz Bennett (UK)
Tony B has been into Northern Soul since his teens. Later he progressed into the jazz funk scene. Today, Tony is particularly passionate about his 80's rare groove tracks. More recently Tony B promotes his own monthly Northern Soul/Modern Soul event "City Limits Soul Nights" in Sheffield, which after a short time is attracting crowds over 300 per night. Since 1976 Mark Grice has had a love of Jazz, Funk & Soul, from Ashford & Simpson through to Zulema and many artists in between. He started to DJ in the early '80's in and around east Lancashire then expanded through the 80's ,90's and currently upto the present. Venues include: the legendary Howard, King Georges Hall, the Togetherness weekenders Blackpool and Birmingham, various Soul venues all over the North west and jazz venues in Chester, Edinborough and Pruderia in Warsaw Poland.... Alex Badass started djing at local youth club back in the 70s. Worked at alldayers in 80s: too many to list! Alex has always been into music since he come onto the world as his mum was always banging on ceiling with the broom handle ha!ha! He has also been a mobile DJ and still do them now and again. Played at the famous Carlton Club in 90s as well as the legendary Mr Smiths for 17 years. Recent venues include the Mint Lounge in Manchester, Chocolate Soul in Daresbury and Soulchild at Cheshire Lounge. Alex is even doing Motown nites! Alex Badass: a lover for the tunes!!
Gary started his DJ career at weddings and parties. In 1982 he became a presenter on Horizon Radio and later became manager of Woodside Radio, Newham General Hospital . Gary currently presents the Monday evening show on Solar Radio and also presents the monthly 'Soulchoonz Show’. At the same time Gary is a very in-demand venue DJ playing the best in upfront Soul and Smooth Jazz. In short, Gary is a 'Super Soulful' presenter that must be heard and seen. Wow he sounds great!!
