Album ArtworkRomina Johnson was born in Rome in 1973. She grew up in Rome where she started singing with her father at the age of 12 years old. Her main musical influences are soul, funk and r&b. Later on at the age of 20 she joined a band called “Second Floor” ,and signed her first deal with Rossiter Road. She recorded the first ep, “Love and Happiness”, also the original version of “Moving too fast” from the album called ‘”simply passion’”. After 3 years band split up, however she continued as solo artiste.Romina moved from Rome to in London 1999.

“It was challenge for me and I wanted to have a break in Europe .At that time was recording mostly dance tracks to try to get my name in the street.”“Dancing with you “ (remix by Bini and Martini) introduced her into the underground dance scene in Europe. The 2000, was a very successful year, she pened a number 2 in the uk charts “moving too fast” remixed by the Artful Dodger. The record sold over 5000 copies all over Europe

Album ArtworkRomina released “Superbad” in Europe & Japan and performed over 90 dates in the UK and Europe throughout the following years. The pressure of scoring a hit did not effect her as she always lived following her heart and her true feelings. Recently she has been fallen under more soulful wings, featuring on “D-influence” d-vas album, “Full flava” (dome) and realising “what can I do” on Urbanstar label and on the “London Soul” compilation which features names such as Omar, Angie Stone, Terry Walker, Lewis Taylor, Don-e etc.

Romina is now working on a new album entitled 'Soul River' with some of the tracks being previewed below. Watch out for this coming to stores near you soon!
